Electrolytic Cleaning Line (ECL)

A standalone electrolytic cleaning line (ECL) is required for steel processed through the batch annealing furnace (BAF). Apart from cleaning, the standalone ECL must deposit a few nanometres thick silicate layer on steel surface. The silicate layer prevents localized fusion of the sheet layers during batch annealing. Electrolytic Cleaning is the proper procedure for removing iron oxide surface contamination quickly yet thoroughly and returning the serviced unit back into production in a timely manner. Electropolishing goes deeper into the metal itself, smoothing and cleaning it to enhance its resistance to corrosion.
