Fire Clay Mortar

Muddox Fire Clay is used to make mortar to set block, brick and stone. The clay can be mixed with sand (not included) and cement (not included) to produce mortar and stucco. Also may be used as a component of refractory mortar. This product is to be mixed with other raw materials, not to be used alone. Fire clay is resistant to high temperatures, having fusion points higher than 1,600 °C (2,910 °F); therefore it is suitable for lining furnaces, as fire brick, and for manufacture of utensils used in the metalworking industries, such as crucibles, saggars, retorts and glassware.
